Prue Brophy has sold two lively historical romance novels to Kensington Books, which are published under the pen name Sarah Brophy: Midnight Eyes (January 2007) and Dark Heart (February 2008). Prue lives in Tumbarumba, Australia, which exemplifies the long reach of the Internet in publishing today.


Carlos J. Cortes is a true Renaissance man with wide-ranging interests that are reflected in his writing. He has just signed a deal with Bantam Spectra for two science fiction novels, Perfect Circle (Fall 2008) and a second unnamed book. He writes in a variety of styles from literary commercial fiction to thrillers and sci fi. He currently lives in Barcelona, Spain, but is planning to move to the United States in the near future.

Cathy Holton just saw her first hilarious novel, Revenge of the Kudzu Debutantes, issued in paperback, with the follow up book, The Secret Lives of the Kudzu Debutantes released in hardback August 2007, both from Ballantine Books. The books feature three reluctant Southern belles who exact an unusual revenge on their lying, cheating husbands. She has recently made a new deal with Ballantine for her third novel, Beach Trip, and an untitled fourth book. Cathy lives in Chattanooga, Tennessee.


J.C. Hutchins has pioneered the art of both podcasting his fiction and promoting it via the Internet. His 7th Son: Descent, sold to St. Martins Press (Summer 2009), is a techno-thriller about human cloning. His weekly podcasts draw over 30,000 listeners worldwide. In addition, J.C. is writing a suspense novel with a Seattle gaming company that will also be published by SMP (Winter 2009). J.C. lives in Florida.
