Agathe von Trapp (March 12, 1913 - December 28, 2010) was the oldest daughter of the musical von Trapp family, featured in the movie classic The Sound of Music. (She is Liesle in the film.) She came to LLM after self-publishing her memoir, Memories Before and After 'The Sound of Music,'seeking a larger publisher. The memoir tells the true story of the von Trapp family with many personal details and new information. A German film company, Gate Film Produktion, took an option on it for development of a television movie in English. The screenplay was written by Kirk Ellis, who wrote and co-produced HBO's John Adams series. The movie is scheduled to start filming in 2011. It Books, an imprint of Harper, published the memoir in September 2010.
Our agency's role has gone from representing her to preserving her legacy and promoting the real story of her life.
